Midcoast Humane provides medical attention, care, and love to nearly 3.500 pets in a typical year between our Edgecomb and Brunswick facilities. We have three primary income streams, and your donations are by far the most important. While adoption fees and town contracts provide some much-needed income for our organization, the cost of providing shelter, food and medical care to the pets in our care far exceeds what these sources generate.
We are deeply grateful for your generosity and commitment to helping us provide essential medical care, compassionate shelter and adoption services to all the animals that come through our doors.

The Columbo Fund helps us cover the cost of caring for dogs’ non-routine surgeries and procedures. A single orthopedic surgery averages $2,000! Our Medical Fund helps cover all medical needs for all pets in our care.

Midcoast Humane has received a Platinum Seal of Transparency from GuideStar, the world’s largest source of information on nonprofit organizations. The seal is given to nonprofits who have achieved the highest level of transparency through disclosures, information made available to the public, and accuracy and frequency of updates.
Donations to Midcoast Humane, a 501(c)3 charitable organization, are non refundable and are tax exempt as permissible by law.
