Vet For a Day
Midcoast Humane is very fortunate to have two full-time veterinarians on staff as well as a whole clinical team to make sure our animals get the medical care they need. Dr. Mandie Wehr is our Director of Shelter Operations, and specialized in shelter medicine while in veterinary school. She has worked with thousands of animals since joining our team in 2012. Dr Pare has been with Midcoast Humane for approximately one year, and is quickly making an impact on the health and wellness of shelter animals in Midcoast Maine.
Vet for a Day provides an opportunity for your child to spend four hours in our clinic with one of our veterinarians and the clinic staff to learn about veterinary medicine and observe surgeries, intake exams, and more.
