Pet Details

Hi! I'm Silas!

Silas is a fun boy who was very much loved by his family, but he was becoming increasingly anxious and protective around the toddler in the family. He is very smart, crate trained and has very good leash manners. He would benefit from hikes or regular long walks. If you like Frisbee, Silas is your guy as he is quite adept at it! He also knows sit, stay and catch but would benefit from a home that would continue working on basic obedience. Silas would do best in a quieter home with adults only or older/dog-savvy children who can provide him with the routine he craves. He can be wary of strangers so the shelter can give you tips on how best to introduce him to new people in the home. He was best buddies with a smaller dog and was fine with the cat in the home. He can be dog-selective so a meet and greet would be required if there is a dog in the new home.

Si-Guy is a true gem of a dog who is longing to be in a home again!  If you have any additional questions about this sweet boy, please feel free to call the shelter at (207) 449-1366, Ext. 206 or stop by to meet him in person!
